Reiki I is about Self-Healing and Self Love. Following the practice and training of Traditional Reiki, derived from the work of Dr. Mikao Usui. This is a great place to start your healing journey. Enjoy learning the history, the uses and the connection of Reiki and how it fits into our world today.
This basic Reiki I class teaches you how to naturally access energy also called Ki or Chi and direct it for the purposes of healing. Students will receive the Reiki I attunements and instruction on how to work with energy. The teacher, Rev. Erin McNamara, is trained in the Usui Tradition and has been a Reiki Master Teacher since 1999.
- Introduction to reiki, history & signs
- Review of the chakras and energy bodies
- Learning positions for self-hands on healing
- Passing attunement (Reiki attunement is the process by
which a person receives the ability to give Reiki
treatments. The attunement is administered by the Reiki
Master during the Reiki class)
Class size is limited to 6 people. Diane Stein’s book Essential Reiki is suggested. Please bring your copy to class or purchase at shop (we will have copies).
